Day 01Arrive in Kathmandu

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative will greet you and assist with your hotel transfer. After check-in, you’ll receive a briefing on your upcoming activities.

The Kathmandu Valley, historically the heart of Nepal, has witnessed the rise and fall of sophisticated Himalayan kingdoms, leaving behind a rich artistic and cultural heritage.

Day 02Explore Kathmandu

Morning (Optional Activity):

  • Scenic Everest Mountain Flight or Helicopter Tour to Everest Base Camp (additional cost).

After Breakfast: Sightseeing Tour

  • Kathmandu Durbar Square:
    • Visit the historic Kashtamandap, built from a single tree.
    • Explore the Hanuman Dhoka Palace, the former royal residence.
    • Witness the Living Goddess Kumari, who makes occasional appearances from her temple balcony.
  • Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple):
    • A 2,000-year-old Buddhist stupa perched on a hill, offering panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley.

Afternoon: Visit Patan (Lalitpur)

    • Krishna Temple – a masterpiece of Shikhara-style architecture.
    • Golden Temple (Hiranya Varna Mahavihar) – a 12th-century Buddhist monastery adorned with intricate carvings.

Day 03Drive to Dhulikhel (via Bhaktapur Durbar Square)

After Breakfast: Drive to Dhulikhel (Approx. 1.5 hours, 45 km)

  • En route stop at Bhaktapur Durbar Square:
    • Explore the Palace of 55 Windows, built by King Bhupatindra Malla.
    • Visit the Nyatapola Temple, the tallest pagoda in Nepal, standing on five terraces adorned with statues of guardians.
    • Optional visit to a traditional Thangka painting museum (time permitting).

Afternoon: Arrival in Dhulikhel
Dhulikhel is a scenic hill station known for its breathtaking Himalayan views, traditional Newari architecture, and serene ambiance. Stroll through the old town, admire intricately carved wooden doors and windows, and visit historic temples such as:

  • Narayan Temple – centrally located in the old town.
  • Harisiddhi Temple – featuring exquisite woodwork.
  • Bhagwati Temple & Gaukhureshwor Mahadev Temple – significant Hindu pilgrimage sites.

Morning: Drive Back to Kathmandu (via Bhaktapur Durbar Square)

Afternoon: Visit Pashupatinath Temple & Boudhanath Stupa

  • Pashupatinath Temple:
    • One of the holiest Hindu shrines, dedicated to Lord Shiva.
    • Observe Hindu cremation rituals along the sacred Bagmati River.
    • Marvel at the temple’s gilded pagoda roof and intricately carved silver doors.
  • Boudhanath Stupa:
    • One of the largest and most revered Buddhist stupas in the world.
    • Encircled by Tibetan monasteries and colorful prayer flags, it’s a hub for Buddhist pilgrims and monks.

Day 05Departure from Kathmandu

After breakfast, transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward flight to India.
